Why I blog

In response to the tag from Gleb at Personal Development Ideas [1], I am going to participate in this meme about why I blog. But first, wikipedia’s definition of a meme for my non-blogging readers:
a unit of cultural information transferable from one mind to another
Basically, someone picks a topic and it gets passed around for everyone to voice their opinions and give their input. So here’s mine.
Why I Blog
1. It is really fun. I enjoy being creative and having the control of what I am going to say next and where my blog/site will go.
2. I feel like it is a great way to improve my writing skill. Can anyone think of a better way to improve their writing other than writing, and writing some more?
3. It’s a great way to get information out to people. I do all this studying for life, and I find myself in situations where my hours of studying can be injected into a person within minutes. Still, minutes multiplied by many people equals many hours. Blogging allows me to get this info out to a wide audience and limits the audience to only those that want to hear my opinion.
4. It is a great way for me to learn. I actually feel like I’ve increased my personal development in take now that I have started blogging. I feel like when I learn something I try to learn it in greater detail, so that I feel confident in my ability to transcribe my knowledge into a practical format. Also, I read a lot of other personal development blogs, something that I did not know was out there until I started blogging.
5. It makes me immortal. My writings, my lessons and my personality become immortal when they hit the paper. Granted sites can go down and all this info could be gone for good, but I’m hoping it will last way after I’m gone and someone could get some use out of my experiences.
