Guest Blogging Recap

If you’ve been reading this blog for the past week you may have noticed that I had three guest bloggers make their first time appearances. If you missed them, please take a look at their posts.

I actually made a guest appearance myself at Personal Development Ideas Blog discussing what motivates me , so head on over there and take a look. A summary of my post is as follows:

  • Know what your goals truly are
  • See yourself at the finish line
  • Have a big WHY
  • Keep your goals in front of you, in manageable chunks

Why Did I Have Guest Bloggers?

You may be curious as to why I’ve included guest bloggers within my “regular programming”. There are actually several reasons.

I like to do experiments and this seemed like a fun direction to take the blog into. I also wanted you, my readers, to experience a different voice, incase you were getting tired of me (even though I know that would never happen!) and wanted to see a fresh perspective on personal growth. I’m sure this project will also expand the readership of all four of our blogs - always good.

I have three trips planned for this summer, which will take a big chunk of my time, so i’ll be missing in action. I will be volunteering as a camp counselor for 1 week at a camp for teens & pre-teens with muscular dystrophy. I will be spending 10 days on a free (educational) trip to Israel, paid for by birthrightisrael.org. Followed by a 7 day trip (vacation) to Dominican Republic.

Even though I won’t be around, I will have pre-dated posts and guest bloggers appear on the site so that you guys are well taken care of. I decided it would be best to network with great bloggers now, so that they know the quality of writing that I expect and are gracious enough to accept my offer when I do go away.

Thanks Again

A big thanks to my guest bloggers - go check out their personal development sites.

Thanks again for the opportunity, Alex. It was a blast. And a good group to be a part of. :)

Np Lyman, it was a good learning opportunity for all of us (hope I can speak for you guys on this).

I’ve already got a couple of guest blogging gigs from other blogs that I read, (which is a great honor) and I’ll be better equipped for them thanks to this experience.

I guess I missed Lyman’s post. Too much to read and not enough time. I have delayed blogging a bit so as to be able to catch up on the blogs I usually read.

Congrats for the opportunities you are getting to expand your horizons and also increase your experiences. I believe that personal development comes sometimes with seeing the world and not always thinking about ourselves.

Bon Voyage and don’t forget to tell us how it went! :)

Bon Voyage - haha! Imagine a world were you needed to travel to get to the other persons blog terminal in order to “guest post”. No, I’ll be here full time when my articles get posted somewhere else.

It was fun Alex, thanks for the offer.

You sound like you’ve got a very busy schedule coming up. Good to see you’re giving back to the world around you.

    Enjoy yourself.

    No prop Alec.

It’s going to be a fun week this summer with the kids. Also, I have a few ideas coming up to hold contests on this site that will help out charities. Stay tuned.
