Upcoming Events: FOOA

A couple of days ago I announced that I am attending SOBCon. Today I have another announcement. I am attending the Future of Online Advertising seminar in NYC, based on a free ticket from the CEO, Ryan Carson. This ticket is a $995 value, so I find that to be a great victory. Ryan asked me to share some information with you guys, if I wanted to. Why not?

Topics:

  • How to guarantee the success of your online ads
  • Tips for packaging your inventory and maximizing ad revenue
  • Online Advertising Basics – Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask
  • Advertising in RSS feeds – the next big thing?
  • Marketing Beyond Google, Yahoo, AOL & MSN with Scale, Quality and Safety
  • It’s all in the creative – how to create successful online ads
  • Targeted Ad Networks – Cost Per Influence Vs. Cost Per Thousand
  • Ads in Online Video – the future of interactive advertising?

Speakers:

  • Erick Schonfeld (Business 2.0)
  • Henry Copeland (Blog Ads)
  • Jim Coudal (Coudal Partners)
  • Mike Hudack (blip.tv)
  • Jay Adelson (digg/revision3)
  • Darren Rowse (ProBlogger.net)
  • Greg Stuart (IAB)
  • Carla Hendra (Ogilvy)
  • Matt Freeman (Tribal DDB)
  • Jeremy Allaire (Brightcove)
  • Chas Edwards (Federated Media)
  • Steve Rubel (Edelman)
  • Andrew Goodman (Page Zero)
  • Michael Walrath (Right Media)
  • Steve Olechowski (FeedBurner)
  • Alyson Racer (New York Times)

I’m excited about both SOBCon and FOOA. After these two conferences, I’m going to be much more knowledgeable about blogging and online marketing. So if you’re into that sort of thing, you’re going to love that this blog will be discussing many great ideas on making money online and effective blogging. If you aren’t interested in that sort of thing, well than I promise I’ll give you plenty more of what you’ve already learned to love from me.

If you’re going to be there, let me know, I’d love to meet up.

I’ll most probably be at Sobcon07. I would’ve liked to attend the FOOA, but with a price tag of $995, i can’t really afford that right now. See you at SOBCon07! :)

    Alex,

Read your post on johnchow.com, great insight. Would you like to meet at FOOA? I’m fairly new at blogging myself and would like to learn how you’re able to get such a strong readership in such a short period of time. I’m also setting up several clients with blogs as well. Hope you’re available to talk. Thanks.

Thanks Mike. I’d love to meet during FOOA. Just shoot me an e-mail and we’ll make some kind of arrangements.
