Great tips. Stress has been our main problem in almost every situation. I believe that if we are dedicated enough to do some of the tips, we will surely overcome it.

Wonderful list.
As long as we keep a positive thought about things that happen in our live, stress has nothing to do with us. Overcoming stress is more on understanding the causes.

Lyman and Craig - Thank for for putting in your two cents guys. Means a lot coming from two of my favorite personal development bloggers!

Ok, you got it, I was kidding when I said the reason we are inflicting stress on ourselves is because we hate ourselves!

I especially like your use of the word 'create' here Craig.

I say we all start 'creating' stress free living!

Hey Alex.
Great Tips.
Like Aaron mentioned, stress is what an individual 'creates' in a given situation. This is why two different individuals in the same situation react so differently. One may be completely 'stressed out' while the other will be laid back and in control.
Keep up the great posts Alex!

What a great list! Thanks for putting it together, Alex.

And regarding the self-infliction, it may have to do with us not liking ourselves to some degree, but it's probably also simple ignorance. Our culture teaches us that the causes of stress are "out there", while very few of them (I'm hesitant to say *none of them*) really are. Most of it simply arises from our own interpretation of things. Change the interpretation, and the negative stress can be turned into invigorating stimulation.

Thanks again, Alex.

Aaron, I like your point about it being completely self inflicted. Maybe we do it because we don't like ourselves??

Rob, if you're down for less stress, I have this list of 25 ways to reduce it ... =)

It's amazing how damaging stress is, especially in light of the fact that it is an entirely made up condition for each individual.

Stress is very real, but each person has their own individual ability to make it not exist anymore.

What a conundrum! ;)

Lodewijkvdb,

Good thing you changed that! I left out exercise because I included in the 7 hacks article already... part of #1.

Thanks again for dropping in (hope you got this starred ;)

Great tips. Be on time and Don't run out of time are correlated...I should know, I failed at both miserably :) Thankfully I changed that.

When stressed out I always find it very satisfying and relaxing to exercise. Punching the crap out of a punching bag is my definite nr1 :) Great workout, great outlet for aggression and superb at releasing stress.
