Sunday’s Speedlinking 9-16-07

At Alex Shalman . com – Practical Personal Development the Sunday morning tradition is me posting links, to my favorite articles for the week, from OTHER blogs. I feel like this is a good way to bring attention to quality writing that my readers might not get a chance to see otherwise.
For this week my favorite articles are:
- Laura Young, from Dragon Slayer’s Guide To Life, asks Do You Really Want To Be Happy? Is that a trick question? Sure, I want to be happy! I think I know what Laura would answer to my question, what do you get out of serving others?
- Douglas Eby from Talent Development Resources, posts Alan Alda on being a nervous wreck – and liking it. In this article, Alan explains that his fear and anxiety drives him to perform better as an actor. Consider that for a moment. The fear and anxiety doesn’t hinder his performance. Instead, it pumps him up and gives him the motivation to take on roles he would otherwise pass up on.
- Philip Brewer, of Wise Bread posts on How To Be Happy. Everything from brain chemicals, to connecting what’s within to what’s without. It’s worth a read.
- Vera Nadine has a plan to put the self help industry out of business in her perfectionist roadblock.
