Happiness Project: John Chow of John Chow Dot Com

John Chow is the founder of TTZ Media, and the man behind John Chow dot Com. His focus on the internet is to make money online, and he’s very successful at it. John makes +$30,000 per month from his blog, and much more from TTZ Media.
John is known as a family man, as he frequently mentions his wife, and puts up pictures of his baby girl. John has also been caught donating money to feed the hungry, so in all reality he’s not really the root of all evil like he claims to be.
Here’s what makes John happy…

1. How do you define happiness?
Happiness to me is enjoying what I’m doing and having choices.
2. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your happiness now, versus when you were a child?
9. I am so much happier now than when I was a kid.
3. What do you do on a daily basis that brings you happiness? (and how consistent is the feeling of happiness throughout your day)
The fact that I have choices. I don’t have to wake up to an alarm clock. If I want to take a spur of the moment trip to Mexico (or wherever), I can do that.
4. What things take away from your happiness? What can be done to lessen their impact or remove them from your life?
Pandas.
5. What do you plan on doing in the future that will bring you even more happiness?
Start a foundation so I can help more people.

pandas?
I love the simplicity of John’s replies. What resonated with me was happiness is about the have the choice to me this means freedom,
“The fact that I have choices.” Great answer by John Chow.
That’s the true mentality of success… he’s famous for his “make money money money” persona, but in the end he’s the master of his money, not the other way around. I see so many people who are perceived to be successful (through money, power, etc…) but are not happy because they don’t feel they have choices.
Hey Alex!
Great posts by A-List Bloggers! Thank you!
I visited his website and WOW! the E-Book is FAN-TAS-TIC!
Thanks for the introduction!
John Chow’s right.. Happiness IS about choice!
Having freedom..
Having the freedom to choose..
Having the freedom to LIVE!
But then again, you and I both know we don’t need to have choices to be happy don’t we?
“We don’t need choices to be happy. We choose to be happy!”
