I realized just how structured I was and how good I was at keeping myself focused on my goals. If I sit around eating cheetos, that''s no longer free time - that's paid time. I had to earn money working earlier so that I have the luxury of resting. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy life or don't take breaks, but just like you mentioned: "fun" blogs etc take a bit of a back seat, and I make sure I keep everything prioritized.
