We’ve all had brilliant ideas, ones that would change our lives, the world, or just make us a bundle of cash. I don’t know about you, but I’ve lost a lot of those ideas because I didn’t capture them. This video will explain the process of capturing, storing, and using all those nuggets of gold.

I feel like this was written about me. I lose great ideas all the time. It’s only the bad ones I seem to be able to remember. ;)

    Hey Alex,
I frequently use my camera, which does video clips as well and record a video of the idea.

I have my phone by my bed as I use it as an alarm and if I get an idea I just use the record audio function on my phone to keep the idea.

I always keep a pen or pencil handy and use my Franklin system like there is no tomorrow. My phone doesn’t take good photos and is rather clumsy to use, but every now and then I get a good shot or two.

You’re making me consider doing some videos…nice job!

For me the ultimate tool for capturing ideas anywhere is evernote. I loaded the application on my iphone too. It allows me to make text, photo or voice notes and it automatically synchronizes with all my computers.

I wrote a more detailed article on it in my Time Management Master blog. It is a collection of more than 200 concrete time saving tips on how to gain an extra hour every day. These tips can be applied at home, at work or on the road.
