Great question, Tess!

It's Ronnie from PLR.me and I figured I should give you the real scoop about duplicate content.

I initially started writing this out as a comment, but it got so long that I didn't think Alex would appreciate a 650 word blog comment. :)

I posted a detailed reply on my blog:
http://www.plr.me/articles/plr-articles/the-duplicate-content-penalty-myth

As an online marketer for over 9 years, I've really studied a lot of search engine optimization information.

The bottom line:

There are two types of duplicate content, "off-site" and "on-site."

Off-site dupe content is when the same article is posted on different sites. It doesn't harm you.

On-site dupe content is when you have the same content, links, and title tags throughout your site. That *does* hurt you.

It's all explained in the blog post!

I'd love to hear your thoughts and I hope it helps in your decision to give us a try. :)

@Tess - Google, yes, that's one way of looking at it. On the other hand, you can use the expert authors advice and rewrite it a bit, in ways that you see it applies to your own life.

Also, there are many ways such as ebooks and newsletters that won't be picked up by google.

Alex,
If hundreds of thousands of people do this won't there be duplicate stuff online daily?
I thought Google didn't like duplicated content?

It all sounds too good to be true. Definetly worth trying out for 20 bucks though.
