Alex, I’d like to thank you for recognizing my salon as a place you enjoyed the level of service. I am the owner of the salon and have dreamed of owning a business like this for many years. My background has been in customer service strategy for major corporations and it positioned me to take the experiences and skill into a community service where you treat people as you would like to be treated. I can’t say enough about my General Manager, Michael, as he is the face to most of our clients and he too lives the theme of the salon, which is GREAT customer service. @Andrew, no the price isn’t higher. In fact, it’s a lot cheaper than some of the other salons in town. It takes the same amount of energy to speak to a customer the right way, as it does the wrong way.

Excellent customer service could involve an establishment going out of it’s way, and using more time, but it doesn’t have to.

Why charge more to do things the way they should be done? Maybe I should charge the other salons more for having to put up with them? =)

Awesome post, Alex. Thanks for pointing out the key differentiators that make this salon great.
One question for you… how does this salon compare in price vs. its competitors? My guess is that it is higher given that customers are willing to pay more for this kind of unbeatable service.
