Thanks, Bud, this is an excellent post. I am personally at a stage in life where I am facing one of my greatest most ancient of all fears. And I hot a point where I just got bored of dealing with that old mother*&^r and that was the best thing that happened. You see, previously, I would tolerate that fear, try to find strategies to deal with it, rise above it for long periods of time only to succumb again. Basically, running and managing, coping and doing things despite it. Worked to an extent. Then I got tired of it, decided no more running, I am gonna kill this bear once and for all. And so that is when I got well mad at it and decided that no matter the outcome, the last thing I will do is feed it. You see, I noticed that fear is fed, and if fed, it grows. So I decided not to feed it, no matter what. Not with one second of my time, not with one bit of my heart, not with one iota of my energy, not with one neuron of thought, not even with a body posture or tingling sensations or adrenal. If it ever wants to eat again, it will have to bring something to the table. Something big - it owes me for 35 years, and I will collect :) That was when the tables turned. And for me, this was a big one, because I am very good at handling regular fears. But this was my big one, and finally I got tired and bored. And chose to stop running and starve it, deny it anything and everything it usually takes.

All these fear are Just

False Evidence Appearing Real
Its just a psychological delusion that stop people from living their lives. It prevents them from seeing the great potential they posses. I hope people really read this post and start living out side of fear..

Bud, I was just like you. A personal development king at 17, then I moved to NYC. Lesson: Don't move to NYC. Well, DO, just be stronger than me! :)

Great article. Focused with excellent points!

Hey Alex.. I'd first like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my post. I had a blast writing it.

@Tess I am seriously considering expanding this post and making into an e-book. The idea would be for it to contain more personal stories and practical steps to take in order to overcome your fears. Thanks for the support and encouragement. :)

Thank you Bud, this post is a classic. You know, people often tell me that they think it's cool that I'm doing this website and personal development at such a young age. Now when I see guys like you, at 17, getting into this stuff at a much earlier age than I did, it makes me feel like the people that made comments to me... but even more so!
