We can all apply these ideas of wisdom. It always simple, it about making a choice Yet, making a choice seems to be the hardest decision to make.

For point 3, work hard play hard I have always struggled but found something to help with it. I seriously recommend the book "Ultra Marathon Man" about a man who runs 100 mile races in 24 hours. It's amazing example of persistence can't fail to inspire in times of hardship.

These are excellent points here. I would say that I resonate well with financial freedom and living life with purpose very much.

Excellent post! I have to fully agree with finding your purpose and true love. Those 2 alone push me towards everything else, such as financial freedom etc

A nice post to bring a smile in the morning. :)

These are really great tips! I would comment on all but this comment would be really long! :) I like personal growth because just like anything else in life, we have to work on ourselves.

When you learn an instrument or a sport, you have to practice or your skill level will never grow. Well life is the same in that, although everyday is like practicing to be a better person, we have to access what we’ve learned from life’s lessons and grow from them.

We have to live life to the fullest in order to reap the ultimate reward!

Great post!

@Armen: I agree finding your true love is not often mentioned in a topic like this and I'm actually puzzled by it. Life is tough, and having a loyal and supporting partner makes all the challenges and obstacles in life that much more easier to overcome. It's always much more heartening to have your partner share your joys and woes with.

@Dad is in the House: Yeah, its all about balance. And play can be anything you choose that helps you enjoy the lighter side of life. Such as a sumptuous meal in a fancy restaurant, watching a movie with your partner, going on an exotic trip, organizing a house party, etc, etc, can all be classified as "Play".

Cheers~

Great post. Regarding work hard, play hard, I'm glad you explained it a little bit. Whenever I hear that, it makes me think of people passed out on their couch in a pool of sick. Or bouncing around in some rave. Or doing one of those super marathons where they cross death valley wearing nothing so they don't chafe. Not my idea of a good time. Now, balancing leisure with work, definitely a good thing.

Hi Mark.

That point about working hard and playing hard has two good parts to it. One is that it involves going big in both aspects, getting more out of life than those who do both very lightly. Putting in a lot of effort, and then enjoying activities with lots of energy, is a win on both fronts. The other part of that point that is worth noticing is that it doesn't say to play hard and work hard. The work has to come first, and that is the best way to go. Playing first, in order to get motivation to work, doesn't work well at all, as the focus can be completely lost.

Finding your true love is not usually mentioned, but it is a huge factor in what leads some to create remarkable things. Their supporting partner fills in for most of their weaknesses, and then they are able to produce like they were two people instead of one. There is a big advantage to having a close partner.
