Standout Comments [win an iPad]

Sometime in August of 2009 I got a crazy idea for a WordPress Plugin. It was born out of my frustration that great people stopped by to comment on the site, but sometimes I’d lose touch with them and wonder where they went.

Having no programming experience, I tracked down the best plugin developer in the western hemisphere and partnered up with Jeff Rose. Over the past months he has been great in taking my vision and turning it into a reality.

Seeing how 110% of my time has been focused on dental school, I knew that I needed a better means of promoting the plugin, which is why I recruited my good friend and number one internet marketer in the world, John Chow. Actually, it wasn’t much recruitment, once I showed him the finished site and a beta copy of the plugin, he fell in love and offered me his services.

Speaking of the website, I’m not really a designer, but I did have a vision, and once again I found a masterful team to take my vision and turn it into reality. The team at Pixelmobb are a very talented group of designers, developers, movie and commercial developers that do a lot of great website and advertisement work for big time musicians, restaurants, and even small businesses. We’ll be doing business again, that’s for sure!

Standout Comments Plugin

So what is this plugin that I speak of, and what does it do? Well, here’s the features breakdown right from the site.

Features

As you can see, a core feature of the plugin is to allow wordpress users to create a hassle-free way for people to subscribe to both to their newsletter and feedburner RSS feed. However, that’s only part of it, because we’ve built in integration with twitter, an easy way to display advertisements, social bookmarking sharing options, and it’s all easy to control from the following admin panel:

SOC-admin

As you can see, you have very convenient access to everything from one location.  So that’s just about all that I have for you right now. The going price is $67, which if you look at a plugin like this as an investment in your future, and a way to build up your lists to stay in touch with fans and potential customers, I know you’ll find it worth it.

As a launch bonus, we’re offering a free iPad to a random user who buys and installs this plugin in the month of May.

    Hi Alex.

This is very cool. I was wondering why I had not seen this plug-in anywhere else, and now I know it is because you managed the effort to bring it to fruition, which is a real-deal process.

It certainly is a valuable plug-in.

Alex, This sounds like a great plug-in and one that could really bring a lot of us WordPress users a great way to keep in touch with some of our readers and give us a broader look at whose coming to our blogs. The only question or worry that I would have is, I’ve been hit with Malware Attacks quite a bit in the past few months, and according to one of the guys over at WordPress he explained (or tried,I’m not a techi) to me that some of the plugins that I install maybe the problem. I mentioned that all of the plugins come from WordPress, right? Not necessary he replied. Then he tried to explain that part of it to me, and I must say some of it went over my head and into the other room. So I’m asking you how long has this plug-in been tested for months, year or what? And can you shed any light on what I’m trying to get across? Love your blog, so glad I came here and will surely be back often. Thanks jj
