Law of Attraction: What You Think About Expands
I have been having a lot of positive correlations lately with the energy I put out into the universe and what the universe serves back to me. I used to be somewhat more skeptical about the law of attraction, but now as I put it into use and examine it, I find more and more truth to it.
I began to notice things when I drastically shifted my paradigm of the universe, people and relationships. The out look that I chose to have towards people is that I love all of them. All people are wonderful, and their differences make them really special. By completely eliminating the use of judgmental comments, and gossip, I have been able to shift my mind away from even thinking these things.
It’s one thing when you want to change, but then there are people around you, with their own different view points and their own realities. I didn’t let that stop me from standing my ground, even when people around me were speaking in such ways about other people, or even if I knew that someone out there was speaking badly of me.
What I began to notice is that with my “new found love for people”, the universe served me people that have a “new found love for me”. I feel as though I am looking out into the world with a new lens, and all I can see is happiness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting around singing kumbaya. What I am experiencing is the formation of deep friendships, atmosphere with friendly people, and mutually respectful relationships.
This is why I say, what you think about expands. I’m completely experiencing an expansion of love and respect in my life because that is the only thing I agree to see or think about. I’m not trying to be close-minded about the ‘evil’ and ’suffering’ going on in the world. On the contrary, I now feel a deeper than ever compassion towards it, accept it, and let it go when there is nothing I can do to remedy it.
Question to you. Have you noticed any correlations between your output on life and what life gives back to you?

I’ve been trying to maintain a healthy skepticism towards TLOA, especially in light of the bunk in The Secret (being fat has nothing to do with eating too much, it’s because you attract the fatness by believing that is how you should look…. riiiiiight!). But, there has got to be plenty of psychological benefit in nurturing a positive outlook, and I think that is where the real benefits of TLOA lie…
Alex,
In life you generally get what you expect. I mean that the lens through which we view life is primarily the lens of expectation. We see what we expect to see and tend to ignore what we don’t expect. I’m not sure you always attract what you expect but you see it more clearly.
Gaz and Dave: I agree with both of you.
The way I look at it is that by thinking a certain way, and mentally preparing yourself for certain events or situations that you would like to happen (or constantly thinking about events that you would not like to happen), you open yourself up to seize the moment.
What I mean is that with preparation, when the situation emerges, you will be ready to grab it and act on it, if you’ve been thinking about it. That’s my take on this.
Hi Alex
I agree with you and strongly believe the Law of Attraction does works and The Secret just brings the Law Of Attraction to limelight. It’s not something new that’s created by The Secret team.
In a recent report that I’ve came across of an interview with Bob Proctor, he used the analogy of Wright Brothers to illustrate the Law Of Attraction, of how their visualizations created a positive vibration and started to attract thoughts that helped reach their goal. A goal that was ridiculed upon by their contemporaries at that time.
Thinking in a certain way and mental power and focus to vividly picture your goal, truly believe in yourself, and get up and take action is not in everyone.
Most people don’t go after what they want, they go after what they think they can get. If you are not going after what you want, the first little bump in the road that comes along is people have lost it.
When you really want something and then you couple with that understanding of your nature, of your spiritual being, and the law that govern you, you will keep going, regardless of what’s happened. Nothing will stop you.
Janice,
I agree, they didn’t create it, they just pointed out one of the laws of the universe. As concrete as gravity.
John L,
You sound unstoppable! I love your energy lol
An interesting element here is the paradox that you sometimes only really attract what you are seekking by totally letting go — and accepting complete and total responsibility. In place of rigid goal setting (nothing wrong with that, of course), you accept your fate, and release your rigid assumptions. Voila, the very thing you had been fighting to achieve (or prevent from happening) resolves, sometimes with astounding speed.
Thats a great view point Mark. I think what you’re saying is that once you separate yourself from the outcome it is very likely that is will find you. Is that right?
The way I look at goals sometimes is set it and forget it. Just lock yourself into a goal with habits. Such as running every morning. Without thinking about it and before you knew it you reach your target weight.
Hi Alex,
I’m also a fan of The Secret and Law of Attraction.
I actually knew about visualization from Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich and Sandy McGregor’s Piece of Mind but I never believed and practiced it until I watch The Secret. (I watch The Secret 4 times and I’ll watch it again and again).
It’s very true that we must focus on what we want, on what we desire, on what we dream of. We have to act as if we already achieve it by visualizing it.
And the great news is, I’ve found out an audio that helps me visualizing easier
This audio is surely fantastic and it comes with 365-day money back guarantee. Plus you get a free report. You must give it a try at http://www.AudioGettingRichScience.com.
Alex,
Long time, no chat! I’ve been so far behind on blog commenting lately.
I love that you are starting to see the things around you that you are putting out there. It is such a freeing experience, isn’t it?
It really gives you confidence that you can build the life that you want when you see the irrefutable evidence hurtling past your eyes every day!
Adlian, thanks for the tip.
Aaron, yes it’s been a minute!
It’s really fun to create these new possibilities… and to see that you’re efforts are not in vain.
It’s sad that we live in such a judgemental, self-righteous society, no matter how we change or try to, there is a thing called “the past”, those things you can’t change, those things you would change if you could, BUT YOU CAN’T, but there is always those who won’t let you forget, no matter how much you’ve changed. But those are the ones you have no control over, so you sit back and watch (in time), karma expose them for the phonies they really are, and continue to grow, move on, and having forgiven yourself, (for past mistakes) , especially when it doesn’t benefit you to acknowledge them. It is all about the positive, negative energy, (any feeling that makes you feel uncomfortable), has no place in your psyche, because, Love feels good.
