Now You Can Eliminate Fifteen Years Of Regret

Friday is Thinking day at AlexShalman.Com

As much as we would like to think of past mistakes as a learning experience, there are certain errors that we wouldn’t mind having corrected. Join me in doing the following exercise, in order to realize which mistakes we’re able to correct before they occur.

While You Were Sleeping

Tonight you’re going to fall asleep, just as you normally would. Only this time, you’re going to have a dream, in which you meet your future self. You’ll sit down and discuss what went on in those fifteen years, between now and then.

Your future self will fill you in on the joys and sadnesses of what had happened. He’ll also share his regrets and plead with you to do things differently this time around.

What would you do differently if you got to do fifteen years all over again? No, not the past fifteen, but the next fifteen.

  • Would you make sure you exercised every single day?
  • Would you read more books and expand your mind?
  • Would you floss your teeth, and take care of your gums?
  • Would you let go of a friend or end a relationship?
  • Would you change jobs, or go back to school?
  • Would you say I love you more to your parents or children?

This is your opportunity to take advantage of a second chance. What would you do, for your future you?

This is a powerful post. It really put helps readers to put things into proper perspective. Something that close encounter with death often does as well.

Such reviews allows us to see what important, and what’s transient. Great idea.

    Thanks Alex.
