A blog is a conversation between the writer and the readers that takes place from the posts into the comment box.

Many moons ago I was inspired by One2One conversations between Liz Strauss and Dawud Miracle.

They weren’t your standard post to comment box conversation, they actually took place between their blogs, as one would ask a question, the other would answer, and vice versa. This is my hat tip to their great idea.

Today I’d like to talk directly to Steve Aitchison (RSS) who hails from the United Kingdom. He started his personal development blog nearly the same time as me, and we’ve seen parallel growth throughout this time. Steve is a great guy and Life Coach by occupation.

Law of Attraction

In the bestselling book The Secret, author Rhonda Byrne and co-authors describe an ancient force that attracts whatever we want into our lives, just as long as we want it bad enough. The theory behind this magnetic force is a universal attraction of some sort.

Many people who read the book and watched the book were instantly hooked to the idea. At the same time many people were totally skeptical of it. Is it fate, coincidence, or our deliberate actions that brings about change in our lives?

Do you think the Law of Attraction is a gimmick? Steve, what do you think?

Let’s talk. Post your response in the comment box below or head over to Steve’s blog (Change Your Thoughts) to see his response.

WARNING: Reading this post will open the door to endless possibilities. It contains a proven step-by-step system on how to turn your thoughts into money or anything else. But first, let’s watch a clip from Will Smith, one of the best actors in the world:

Is it just me or was he having some trouble trying to express himself? If you’ve watched “The Secret”, you’ll remember this quote:

“What this power is, I cannot say. All I know is that it exists.”

-Alexander Graham Bell

Something tells me that Will Smith is going to agree with that. Considering his accomplishments as a person, you and I both know that he was trying to describe the Law of Attraction.

Would you believe me if I told you that even in his haphazard way, Will Smith actually managed to highlight some very important points about the Law of Attraction? Well, he did and what I’m going to do here is to clarify them.

I’m going to make it crystal clear for you so that by the time you finish reading this, you can go out there and manifest your thoughts into whatever you want.

As you read further and further into this post, it will become increasingly clear to you that you have to learn more about the Law of Attraction simply because of its tremendous power.

Recently, my first batch of “The Law of Attraction Coaching Club” members just graduated. Just five minutes ago I got an E-mail from one of them.

“Hey Saif! I had another home sale today and an unexpected pay raise!!!! My sales manager and general manager called me in and gave me this raise and I was so surprised and happy. I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised huh? Thanks for all the great motivation and encouragement!!!”

- Kathy Klinger

I don’t know about you but I think I’ll be jumping up and down like a madman if that happened to me! But then again, like she said it’s not a surprise because that’s what happens when you know how to work the Law of Attraction for you.

Introducing: The 5 Magic Steps

Today, I’m going to reveal to you exactly what I told Kathy and everyone else in the club. The exercises I’m going to reveal to you are easy to do but we both know that they’re easy not to do as well.

If you’re committed to attracting whatever you want, then let’s dig in!

1) Live Your Passion.

I know you’ve heard this countless times so I’m not going to concentrate on this as much as the four other steps. Basically, the Law of Attraction states that you attract whatever you’re in vibrational resonance with.

When I say vibrational resonance, what I’m really saying is the way you feel. Hence, living your passion will constantly put you in a high state of vibration that will attract similar people, events and things into your life.

If you’re still not sure about your passion, I suggest you take the test at Brian Kim’s article that has been featured on CNNBC.com.

2) Set Your Intention.

Most people who fail to see amazing results usually fall at this step. So I’m going to be a bit more elaborate here.

i) Think BIG!

My best results have come from thinking BIG. It seems like the Universe doesn’t reward people who think small. Whatever you desire, make it so big that it excites you but terrifies you at the same time.

STOP! There is a BIG trap here that many people don’t see and I’ve devoted an entire chapter to this which you can download for free by clicking on the image below:

ii) Make Your Vision Clear And Compelling.

You know how people are always asking themselves,”Why am I here?” I think that’s a scary rabbit hole you don’t want to go into.

Instead of trying to find your life purpose, I suggest you invest your time in creating a life vision. You see my friend, a life purpose is noble but a life vision is exciting!

When you get excited about your vision, the work you do is going to be fun and exciting because every action you take is a step towards what you want to be, do or have. And that’s why in the first step, I talked about thinking BIG!

When you think BIG, the possibilities are so exhilarating that you find yourself being sucked into your vision and you don’t have to push yourself to attain it (i.e. laziness, procrastination etc.) and everything that you want will come easily to you.

ii) Devote Your Intention To Something Bigger Than Yourself.

Many people know Jackie Robinson as one of the best athletes the world has ever seen. In my eyes, he stands for something more than that.

Jackie Robinson was faced with countless intolerable insults and assaults during his time at the Brooklyn Dodgers from opposition players and his own team-mates. I think the most inhumane thing that happened was when a team-mate sticked a razor-blade into the inside of his shoes.

Sure enough, it cut his feet open like a knife cutting cheese. However, he still played on and won matches single-handedly with such injuries.

He would go on to end 80 years of baseball segregation a.k.a the color barrier and become one of the best sportsman in history. When asked how he could keep his cool all that while, Jackie said something to the effect of, “I was committing to something BIGGER than myself.”

You see my friend, the greatest men and women in history didn’t do the things they did for personal gain. Their intentions were to devote their lives to their work and GIVE to others. Is it no wonder that these people have the most abundance in their lives?

Give and you shall receive – that is the law. The law of Attraction.

3) Release Counter-intentions.

As you start to take action, the biggest barriers you’ll face are the ones within yourself, not without. These may come in the form of limiting beliefs, procrastination and many others.

Overcoming them is easier than you think! Personally, I use Ho’oponopono where I say,”I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you,” repeatedly until the feelings dissipate. I’ve written extensively on this and you can read about the Ho’oponopono clearing technique here

Other techniques include the Sedona Method and currently the big thing is Emotional Freedom Techniques and i highly recommend you get your own Free EFT Get Started Package there.

4) Visualize Already Having It.

You probably already know that when you visualize something in your mind over and over again, your subconscious mind will take it to be true.

And since your subconscious mind is the “soul” of your mind, what happens is that you’ll find yourself doing things that will ultimately manifest that vision – subconsciously of course.

I use Mind Movies where I string together images of what I want to have, add some affirmations and some kick-ass music and watch it every day when I wake up and just before I go to sleep. You can watch a good example here.

What you have to remember is that this shouldn’t be a chore. It’s supposed to get you excited and put you into a state of vibration that will allow you to attract people, events and things that you need to manifest your intention.

5) Let Go.

“Intention is not simply whim. It requires attention and it also requires detachment. Once you’ve created the intention mindfully, you must be able to detach from the outcome,, and let the universe handle the details of fulfillment.”
-Dr Deepak Chopra

The great thing about the Law of Attraction is that it surprises you all the time. Sometimes, you may be expecting what you want from one source but it comes to you from an unexpected one instead.

In order to experience this, you have to do what most people can’t. And that is to let go and be totally detached about the results. Expect it but don’t be reliant on it because if you do, you’re coming from a place of lack, scarcity and desperation.

As a result you will end up repelling what you want instead of attracting it.

A Final Word

I’m going to be frank with you here. Sometimes, you won’t get what you want even if you follow these steps to the tee. But if you’re open to the fact that your Universe will work out eventually, you’ll get something even better!

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post from Mr. Positioning (Stanley Bronstein).

If you’ve heard about “The Secret”, you’ve no doubt heard about the Law of Attraction. But, have you heard about the Laws of Positioning™? The Laws of positioning™ are quite different from the Law of Attraction. I’ve here to tell you that the Laws of Positioning™ are not a secret any
more.

The premise behind the Laws of Positioning™ states that:

4 Traits of successful people and organizations

VISION – They recognize details and opportunities that most others do not see, thus putting themselves in a position of readiness;

ATTRACTION – They put themselves in a position to attract opportunities;

READINESS – They put themselves in a position to be ready to take advantage of those opportunities once they do come their way; and

ACTION – They take action upon those details and opportunities in manner that most others would not, thus putting themselves in a position to be more successful than most.

As you can readily see, attraction (which is the major premise behind The Secret) is only one small component of what is done by truly successful people.

Having recently completed a nationwide driving tour where I interviewed over 80 highly successful people, these were the 4 traits I found they all had in common.

A Blind Visionary

One of the greatest visionaries I had the privilege of interviewing was Mr. Jim Stovall, of Tulsa, OK. The interesting part is that Jim Stovall is blind. Think about the irony, a blind man is a great visionary . . . At first, when Jim found out as an adult that he was going to go blind, he was depressed. Somewhere along the way, he realized that he was still capable of doing whatever he desired, if not more.

Jim has gone on to become a nationally recognized speaker and he is the founder of the Narrative Television Network, which is designed to adapt programming that is designed to enhance the experience of blind persons as they listen to the programs.

Charismatic Attraction

As for attraction, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Geno Fernandez of Chicago, IL. Geno is one of those individuals who is so charismatic, so loving, so powerful, that everyone wants to help him. Geno constantly attracts whatever Geno needs to help him accomplish his goals. That’s why Geno might be one of the most powerful persons I’ve ever met.

Ready For Miracles

When it comes to readiness, the story that comes to mind is that of the US Olympic hockey team in the 1980 Olympics. That team will forever be known as The Miracle On Ice. When they entered the Olympics, no one thought they had any chance whatsoever of even competing with the Soviet Union’s team (which had dominated international hockey for over 15 years), much less beating them.

Fortunately, neither Herb Brooks (the coach of that team), Jim Craig (the goalie for that team) nor any of the other players on that team believed that. They believed that they were the right people, in the right place, at the right time.

If you’re not familiar with their story, the US team not only beat the Soviet Union, they went on to win the Gold Medal. While interviewing Jim Craig for my book he said, “it wasn’t a miracle, it was lots of hard work and preparation meeting opportunity. In other words, we were ready!”

The Action Habit

As for action, that is the willingness of a person to act when an opportunity presents itself. My own story is one that comes to mind. At the age of 28 I was already a successful CPA.

During an argument with one of my older brothers, he dared me to go to law school. Instead of being defensive and rejecting his suggestion, I signed up for law school 2 days later. I’ve now been a lawyer for over 16 years and my life is infinitely better as a result. I took action when the suggestion of opportunity presented itself.

One thing that can be said for New Year’s Resolutions is that they’re over and done with. The reason resolutions don’t work, is because we think of them as a change, rather than a transformation. A change associates something better and different with the previous worse version. It leaves you in a state of comparison. If you’ve payed attention to how the law of attraction works, you must keep focus on positives only.

For example, you would focus on being healthy, as opposed to losing 10 lbs. Losing 10 lbs keeps focus on thoughts of being overweight. You’ll probably be losing these very same 10 lbs every single year. Weight loss doesn’t have to be a difficult process at all. It’s actually one of the simplist things that we are capable of doing as human beings, because it requires virtually no effort.

The Knowledge Is In Your Hands

You already have a strong general sense of what is healthy and what isn’t. You know fried food is bad, and you know vegatables are good. Most importantly you understand that eating less, and exercising more, will likely yield a very high chance of weight loss.

The wellness principle states that everything we put into our body is either going to help take us towards our health goal, or take us further from it. If we keep this in mind, we will never have a question as to which decision is more viable.

Tips To Optimize Weight Loss

This isn’t anything new, and I’m sure you’ve either heard this before, or realized it yourself. Despite that, it’s nice to have a list, to look at, and to get inspired by.

Substitute Water. Our bodies are about 65-70% water. It follows that water would be not only essential, but the best possibly choice of liquids to ingest. In fact, our bodies will sometimes simulate a hunger response, when in reality the body is craving hydration. When hungry, drink a glass or two of water to check if it suppresses your hunger.

Chew Your Food. Chewing our food very slowly and deliberately has several benefits that are often overlooked. It gives us the ability to relax, and enjoy our meal. Slow chewing is the first, and highly important, step in a complex system of digestion. Besides, if we eat slowly, we might feel full before finishing the whole meal, and can leave the rest for the next meal.

Exercise daily. How silly of me to include something as obvious as exercise. I did a 30 day trial with waking up, and walking for 30 minutes first thing in the morning. My journal records that I was feeling amazing during the period of time that I was following this habit.

Publicize your intentions. The same way that Tynan uses a forum to keep his productivity accountable, you could use a forum to keep your weight loss goals accountable. Simply record your intentions, goals, and a progress of what you’re up to.

Create a food schedule. Plan your day so that you’re eating at approximately the same time each day. This scheduling will incorporate itself into your circadian rhythm, and aid in digestion.

Do not over eat. Know your limit and stop eating when you are full. I have often been a victim of wanting to finish a meal so that it doesn’t go to waste. This has left me with many a stomach ache. Next time, doggy bag it for later, and don’t hurt yourself!

Choose your snacks wisely. Put down the Doritos® and cheese puffs. Pick up the apple and baby carrots. Make the right decision, I know you can do it.

What are your super simple health tips?

I have been having a lot of positive correlations lately with the energy I put out into the universe and what the universe serves back to me. I used to be somewhat more skeptical about the law of attraction, but now as I put it into use and examine it, I find more and more truth to it.

I began to notice things when I drastically shifted my paradigm of the universe, people and relationships. The out look that I chose to have towards people is that I love all of them. All people are wonderful, and their differences make them really special. By completely eliminating the use of judgmental comments, and gossip, I have been able to shift my mind away from even thinking these things.

It’s one thing when you want to change, but then there are people around you, with their own different view points and their own realities. I didn’t let that stop me from standing my ground, even when people around me were speaking in such ways about other people, or even if I knew that someone out there was speaking badly of me.

What I began to notice is that with my “new found love for people”, the universe served me people that have a “new found love for me”. I feel as though I am looking out into the world with a new lens, and all I can see is happiness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting around singing kumbaya. What I am experiencing is the formation of deep friendships, atmosphere with friendly people, and mutually respectful relationships.

This is why I say, what you think about expands. I’m completely experiencing an expansion of love and respect in my life because that is the only thing I agree to see or think about. I’m not trying to be close-minded about the ‘evil’ and ‘suffering’ going on in the world. On the contrary, I now feel a deeper than ever compassion towards it, accept it, and let it go when there is nothing I can do to remedy it.

Question to you. Have you noticed any correlations between your output on life and what life gives back to you?

One of the basic human dilemmas is that people often have ambitious goals, some of them are larger than life, but standing at the foot of a mountain could be a bit intimidating. So what can we do?

Achieving your dreams is merely the process of taking your intentions and transforming that energy, through action, into the physical realm. Action being the intermediary step, the one that requires much work, is what is usually the cause of man’s inability to follow through – from intention to acquisition.

The Painted Picture

Looking at the big picture (before taking an action), makes it difficult to start and easy to procrastinate; what follows is a look at the little picture.

When you consider the act of achieving a superb figure and astounding fitness level, you may experience opposing emotions. You feel happy and excited for the potential that your body is capable of and the marvelous benefits of acquiring such a physique. Alternatively, you may experience depression, because you are unsure if you are capable of achieving such greatness. This stems from not believing that you can follow through with such admirable goals.

You may have a desire to save money for a house, a car, an investment, but when faced with the actual amount that you may have to put away, your enthusiasm shrinks.

You may have a desire to be in a wonderful relationship, but when struck with the actualization that you may have to participate in dozens of courtships and possible rejections, you feel discouraged.

Baby Steps and Smiles

Before you give up on your body, your savings, and mankind, I would like to offer you my paradigm. Taking baby steps, and enjoying every moment, challenge, and laugh that comes your way is the key to not only overcoming great obstacles, but also to enjoying the journey.

If you can relish in the heat, sweat and exhaustion of just one single exercise and when you can feel the endorphins pumping through your veins, you can achieve that body. Time, your only true possession, gives you the ability to multiply your efforts, by time itself. Given that time does go by quickly, you’ll see your payoff sooner than you think.

If you can save on something small everyday, over the course of one, five, ten years; you save a lot. Multiply that by the amount of small things you waste your money on each day and the savings really add up. For example, instead of buying a bagel at the deli for breakfast every morning for $1 for a total of $5 per week, you buy 5 bagels and butter at the supermarket for a total of $2.50. You save $2.50 a week, ~$10 a month, ~$125 a year, ~$1250 in ten years, based on this one habit. How many daily savings can you think of?

Dating, relationships, rejections. If you think of it from the point of view of how hard it’s going to be and how much pain you’ll experience, you won’t have the right mindset to achieve success. If you treat each single date, person, and day as a wonderful and unique experience, you get so many moments and lessons out of it. The rest hasn’t happened yet and won’t matter until it does.

So smile, never stop taking baby steps, with time you will achieve great things.
